Amate Paper Designs - Caracol Diagonal Gris

Inspire your next design project with an authentic artist crafted paper hanging. Amate Paper Artwork is carefully created by hand in Mexico using traditional paper-making methods passed on through generations. Every knot is hand-tied, every weave is strung by hand and lace is lovingly crafted.

The Caracol Diagonal design takes a geometric mandala concept and gives it a seaside twist in pattern and color. The center circle features a segmented, spiraling design reminiscent of a cross section of a seashell. Wrapping that design is a diamond basketry pattern weaving buckskin colored bark through perpendicular dark brown bark strands. Moving outward, the center circles transition to solid blue Amate paper in a square shape which is then bordered by a woven design of cream and brown Amate bark.

This Amate Wall Art measures approximately 31" x 31". The bark and dyes are acid free and all natural. Please note when ordering that this piece is one-of-a-kind. If you need more than one piece of the same design, please contact us to special order with a 6-8 week production time.
