Silk Paper - BLACK

Silk fabric is often considered the epitome of luxury and Silk Paper incorporates the luxurious qualities of silk into beautiful decorative art papers. These papers are handmade in India using 100% recycled silk and cotton textiles. The textiles are broken down into their base fibers which are then made into a paper pulp. 

This Midnight Black Silk Paper contains long cotton and silk fibers in the pulp which makes the paper soft, flexible and durable. The silk fibers shimmer slightly in the light. Each sheet of Silk Paper is handmade in India, weighs approximately 40 gsm and is acid-free for those archival projects.

The 21.5” x 29.5” sheet features deckled edges on all 4 sides. The 8.5” x 11” size has straight edges, but a deckled edge can be easily created by wetting the paper with a paint brush and then tearing the paper along the water score.
