Alternatively known as Deh-sho paper, Bhutanese Mitsumata Paper is a versatile and unique natural paper. The paper-making process dates back for many centuries and is a central part of the nation's economy. Because of the tropical climate, Southeast Asia creates the perfect environment for the Mitsumata bush to naturally thrive. The bark of the bush is cleaned and hand-sorted to create refined, short fibers.

This Bhutanese Mitsumata paper is heavier in weight, weighing 110 gsm. Heavyweight Mitsumata has a tendency to crease when shipped due to how it is made. It is perfect for a variety of different projects, but is especially suited for calligraphy, block-printing, and sumi.
